A warm, cosy and magical image of a young child sat in a window looking out for Santa. The little girl is based on my daughter, she's at that age now where we may not have too many years left where she'll 'believe', and I wanted to capture this moment so we can keep the magic forever. A reminder that time is fleeting, and a way of transporting you into the world of a child in a period of their life when this time of year is filled with wonder, anticipation, and delight.

Drawn with lots of texture, I used mostly Bic biros and some acrylic pens on a layer of very roughly applied acrylic paint to create a dated look, as if we were looking back in time.
